As a neurologist, our physician is highly trained to treat disorders of the nervous system, which include diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. Some of the more common problems that neurologists diagnose and treat are strokes, epilepsy (seizures), headaches, dementias (Alzheimer's disease), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and various forms of pain. Neurologists may serve as consultants to other physicians and may provide long-term care to patients with chronic neurological disorders.
Dr. Boutros is a Diplomate of the American Board of (Psychiatry) and Neurology. He completed his internship in internal medicine, residency in neurology, and fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Southern California of Medicine, in Los Angeles. He was awarded his medical degree from McGill University, in Montreal, Canada.
Dr. Boutros was a scholarship recipient throughout his undergraduate college education. He is a member of the following medical associations:
